Corrections Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Football Vows is committed to publishing accurate and trustworthy football information. We welcome correction requests from readers, clubs, players, representatives and other affected parties.
How We Handle Corrections
When a possible error is reported, we review the published article and compare the disputed information with reliable evidence.
Where appropriate, we may contact the writer, examine the original source or consult official club, league or governing-body information.
A correction will be made when we determine that published information is materially inaccurate or misleading.
Minor Corrections
Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or typographical errors may be corrected without adding a formal correction notice when they do not change the meaning of the article.
Significant Corrections
When an error affects an important fact, quotation, score, statistic, identity, transfer status or conclusion, the article will be updated.
Where appropriate, a correction notice may be placed within or at the end of the article explaining:
- What information was incorrect.
- What the correct information is.
- When the correction was made.
We will not intentionally hide a significant factual correction.
Updates to Developing Stories
Adding newly confirmed information to a developing story is considered an update rather than a correction, provided the previously published information was accurate at the time.
If the earlier information was incorrect, the change will be treated as a correction.
Headlines and Social-Media Posts
If an inaccurate headline materially misrepresents an article, the headline should be corrected.
Where reasonably possible, we may also correct or clarify inaccurate information shared through an official Football Vows social-media account.
Article Removal
Articles will not normally be removed solely because a person or organisation disagrees with accurate reporting.
Removal may be considered where there is a serious legal, copyright, privacy, safety or factual problem that cannot be resolved through an ordinary correction.
Reporting an Error
To report a possible error, email adminfootballvows@gmail.com and provide:
- The URL of the affected article.
- A clear description of the information you believe is incorrect.
- The correct information.
- A reliable source or supporting evidence, where available.
All correction requests will be reviewed fairly. Submitting a request does not automatically guarantee that an article will be changed or removed.
