As quoted by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag revealed what he told the fans at the stadium following the win over Leicester City at Old Trafford.

United continued their exquisite form with a commanding 3-0 win over the Foxes. A brace from Marcus Rashford played a major role in collecting the three points.

That result although kept us third in the league table, we are now only three points behind Manchester City and five adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Here’s what ten Hag said when asked about what he told the fans in the stadium after the full-time whistle (h/t Manchester Evening News):

“I said come Thursday. It’s a big game, make sure you are there and we beat Barcelona together.”

Given that United are alive in all four competitions at this stage of the season, every game is big and they come thick and fast.

So, while the win over Leicester was great, Barcelona are arriving on Thursday night for the return leg of the Europa League tie. Seeing how good the first leg was, more of the same is expected in the return game.

Even if ten Hag hadn’t reminded the fans to come on Thursday, the atmosphere on Thursday will be rollicking. Old Trafford will be buzzing and behind the players every second of the game.

If that was not enough, the fans will have an opportunity to go to Wembley and watch their team contest the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

There is a lot to look forward to if you are a United fan, player or manager. Let’s just hope we can keep this feel-good alive till the end of this season and win multiple trophies. Full credit to ten Hag for making this team play some exceptional football in his first season in charge.
