United are without a win in their last two games in the league, with one of them coming against today’s opponents at Selhurst Park last month.

It was a fast start in the 3 PM kick-off and with roughly five minutes on the clock, United were awarded a penalty after Will Hughes blocked Marcus Rashford’s cross with his arm.

Bruno Fernandes, one of United’s best performers since the turn of the year, stepped up and made no mistake from 12 yards as he rolled his side into the lead, as seen below.

Fernandes scored United’s only goal in the 1-1 draw between the two sides just over two weeks ago and he has now given the Reds a dream start to this game.

Marcus Rashford doubles United’s lead with 10th PL goal of the season

Manchester United are on course to secure three points in their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

It comes as Marcus Rashford’s 10th goal in the Premier League this season and there’s no stopping him in his current form.

Manchester United opened the scoring in the first half thanks to a penalty kick from Bruno Fernandes. Rashford had a number of chances to score before the break and it was only a matter of time before he got his name on the scoresheet.

United passed their way through Crystal Palace’s defence before a Luke Shaw cross found Rashford inside the box. He was never missing from that range.

Palace swiftly made it 2-1 after the red card and that set up a nervous end to the game for United, from a previously commanding position.

It was not the easiest time for Marcel Sabitzer to make his United debut but he came on for Antony with ten minutes remaining to help see the game out.

The Austrian showed his physicality and willingness to get stuck in and substitute Alejandro Garnacho was also brought off in the closing stages, which is not a great experience for any footballer, but a decision Ten Hag clearly felt necessary to try and protect the lead.
