Luke Shaw, a defender for Manchester United, said that he and Raphael Varane shouldn’t get all the credit for stopping Erling Haaland in the Manchester derby. Instead, he said that it took the whole team to keep the prolific striker quiet.

Shaw, who started at center back again in the derby and was very happy with the win, talked about it in his interview after the game.

“It was fun to take part in the game. The three points were the most important thing. No matter who we play, we always try to get three points so we can keep moving up the table. Today, we did that, and I’m very happy about it.

“We made a lot of chances, as I said, and we knew there would be more. It all comes down to believing, and after Fernandes scored, we could feel the fans even more. They pushed us on, we scored the second goal, and the crowd was great.”
