MANCHESTER UNITED will try to reach the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup by hosting Charlton on Tuesday night.

Erik ten Hag will see this competition as a real chance to end the Red Devils’ trophy drought that has lasted since 2017.

Should League One Charlton, who have two straight wins behind them, arrive, they are still expected to rest a number of first-team players.
