Bad News As Newcastle hijacks Manchester United’s bid for World Cup star
Premier League rivals Newcastle United have moved to wrap up a deal for Manchester United transfer target Marcus Thuram, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The France international, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, is also attracting interest from Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.
Inter are ready to offer Thuram a contract worth around €5 million net per season, and believe that he can be convinced on joining their sporting project.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also reportedly made moves to sign the France international as a free agent at the end of the season.
However, Newcastle United have moved to sign the 25 year-old France international this January and are reportedly in talks with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have submitted an offer for RB Leipzig attacker and Spain international Dani Olmo.
As per reports from Nacional, via football365, the Red Devils have made an offer for the Olmo after missing out to Liverpool for Cody Gakpo.
The Red Devils face competition from Bundesliga side Bayern Munich for the transfer of the 24 year old Spain international.
It is unclear how much the Red Devils have tabled, or if Olmo would be interested in a move to Old Trafford. The 24-year-old has just a year and a half left to run on his contract at Leipzig.
