Premier League announce Player, Manager & Goal of the Month for October

The Premier League awards for the best player, manager, goal, and save have been announced for the month of October 2022.
Player of the Month – Miguel Almiron (Newcastle United)
Miguel Almiron has become only the second Paraguayan player to win the Premier League’s Player of the Month after former Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz in 2007.
Almiron scored in five of his six matches league games in October, scoring a joint-league high of six goals. He is the first Newcastle star to win the POTM since Joe Willock in May 2021.
Almiron topped an eight-man shortlist for the award that included Newcastle teammates Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier.

Manager of the Month – Eddie Howe (Newcastle United)
Eddie Howe has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for the fifth time in his career.
Under Howe, Newcastle went unbeaten in October and scored the most goals and points in the league that month. In fact, the Magpies bagged four or more goals in half of their six matches.
Howe topped a three-man shortlist for this prize that included Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Goal of the Month – Miguel Almiron (Newcastle United)
Miguel Almiron has made it three in three for Newcastle by winning the Goal of the Month.
The Premier League’s Player of the Month scooped the double after his unstoppable volley in Newcastle’s 4-1 win over Fulham won him the Goal of the Month. He last won this award in April 2022.
As a result of Almiron and Howe’s successes, Newcastle have become the first club to win all three monthly individual prizes since November 2016.
