Despite playing terribly, Chelsea only ended up losing to Arsenal by one goal – and that goal came from a set piece.
Chelsea fans are predictably furious about the whole team’s efforts at defending the set piece, which flew past everyone and fell to Gabriel at the far post, who only had to force it over the line. But one defender in particular stood out – Marc Cucurella.
The big summer signing had his arms around Granit Xhaka and didn’t break off, even as the ball flew past him. It’s not a great look, let’s be honest.
