“I’m Leaving!” Ronaldo Concludes

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United amid much fanfare in what was termed a sweet reunion and many had expected that the Portuguese superstar would see out his career at the theatre of dreams. However, due to a fallout with manager, the player has finally made his intentions clear that he is leaving.

Sources close to the mercurial 37 year old reveal however that it is uncertain if he would leave in the January transfer or wait to see out his contract and then walk away on the free.

The former is most likely, considering that should he not leave in January, Manchester United would lose him for free. ETH and the entire Manchester United board would prefer to sanction a sale in January to be able to recoup their investment.

It is understood also that Chelsea Football club of London are in pole position to sign the player and are waiting to pounce should the right opportunity arise.

Part owner of Chelsea Todd Boehly was keen to bring in the player last summer but then Manager Thomas Tuchel disagreed, claiming it was not a good option for the future.

With Graham Potter now managing the London side, it remains to be seen if the player would feature in his plans.

But whatever the case, any club Cristiano Ronaldo ends up in would definitely be in the move mainly for business purposes since the player is way past his best years.
