Alan Shearer SLAMS Jadon Sancho after Man United star went down under a challenge from Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff in the penalty area

Alan Shearer has slammed Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho for ‘f******* diving’ against Newcastle.

The England international came under fire after he went down in the penalty area from a challenge by Magpies midfielder Sean Longstaff, which the referee did not deem a foul.

And Newcastle legend Shearer did not hold back when sending a message to the former Borussia Dortmund winger on social media shortly after the game.

In a tweet, Shearer told the United No.25: ‘Keep on f****** diving you might get one eventually!!!’

Sancho felt he deserved a penalty after a challenge from Longstaff in the box but referee Chris Kavanagh waved play on and VAR did not feel the need to overturn the decision. Earlier in the game, Cristiano Ronaldo had also appealed for a spot-kick after a tackle by full-back Kieran Trippier – but again Kavanagh was not interested.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Erik ten Hag’s side who were held to a goalless draw with the Magpies on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils can count themselves fortunate they walked away with a point after Newcastle’s Joelinton struck the bar and the post in the first-half.

Callum Wilson was also denied a potential penalty shout after a strong challenge from Raphael Varane.

The Red Devils will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Spurs on Wednesday, while Newcastle will face Everton.
