I don’t understand your selection sometimes – Pundit slams Ten Hag over decision on Ronaldo, Casemiro

Football pundit and former Leeds United goalkeeper, Paddy Kenny, slammed Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for his handling of forward Cristiano Ronaldo and midfielder Casemiro.

Kenny said he doesn’t understand Ten Hag’s selection sometimes after the former Ajax coach benched Ronaldo and Casemiro during Man United’s Premier League derby 6-3 loss to Man United on Sunday.

Both Ronaldo and Casemiro were omitted from Man United’s starting lineup as the Red Devils suffered a devastating defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side
at the Etihad.

Casemiro was brought on in the 59th minute in place of Scott McTominay, while Ronaldo remained an unused substitute in the Manchester derby.

“Why would you not have him in there? Casemiro was signed for big-money and he is sitting on the bench. I don’t understand Erik ten Hag’s selection sometimes, I really don’t,” Paddy told Football Insider.

“The way he has treated Ronaldo as well, I just don’t understand it. He scored 25 goals last season. He was playing in a bad team as well.”
